Nawaid Shamim

Hi! Welcome to my personal website. I was born and bought up in Saudi Arabia, did further education in India and at the moment based in London. As you may have guessed, I love travelling and exploring new places.

Apart from the above places, I live on the web. You can define me as computer addict, open source evangelist and passionate programmer who loves to build and work on innovative projects. In general I have great interest in algorithms, machine learning, distributed and cloud computing.

I am also the organiser of Google Developer Group(GDG) in London which involves Google fans and enthusiasts who are interested in using Google's evolving technologies and APIs.

Main Skills

  • Web design and development including HTML, CSS, ASP, PHP, Perl, JSP, Java Servlets, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX and jQuery.
  • Programming extensively in C/C++, C#, java and python.
  • Google Chrome web app, extension.
  • Graphical design in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Android development.
  • Server management including cPanel, WHM and SSH
